FRENCH WEEK, by BIEF

Presses Universitaires de France [Humensis]

Presses Universitaires de France, founded in 1921, grew stronger in the 1930s when it merged with three publishers of works of philosophy (Alcan), history (Leroux) and literature (Rieder). Today their publications fall into the following main categories: academic and reference books, reviews (most of which are available in electronic form on the website, CAIRN), collections of textbooks and essays, as well as the series “Que sais-je?” and “Quadrige”. The variety present in its catalogue reflects the main vectors of French thought.
